Completing his undergraduate education at Fırat University, Department of Civil Engineering in 2009, Osman Hansu received his master’s and doctoral degrees from Gaziantep University, Department of Civil Engineering. Beginning his academic career as a Research Assistant at Gaziantep University between 2010 and 2023, Hansu currently serves as a faculty member with the title of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Gaziantep Islamic Science and Technology University.

With areas of expertise including 3D concrete printer technologies, earthquake engineering, and sustainable advanced building materials, Hansu has been deemed worthy of various awards by Boğaziçi University and Istanbul Technical University as a result of his scientific studies and the projects he has consulted on. Hansu, who has articles, papers, and book chapters published in many national and international journals, also serves as a reviewer for various journals, contributing to scientific literature.

Undertaking strategic responsibilities for the public benefit, Hansu has held critical positions such as the Head of the Earthquake Master Plan Commission of the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and Board Member of the Chamber of Civil Engineers Gaziantep Branch. Taking on the role of T3 Foundation Gaziantep Provincial Representative as of April 2026, Hansu leads the local coordination processes of the national and domestic technology initiative. In addition, following the 2023 earthquakes, he managed the technical coordination of field operations as the General Coordinator of Damage Assessment and Eligibility within the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

Adopting it as his fundamental mission to transfer theoretical knowledge to the field through technology-oriented projects and institutional collaborations, Hansu carries out R&D processes together with his students through the Engineering Communities where he acts as an academic advisor, and he provides technical training for engineers in public institutions.
