TEKNOFEST Aerospace and Technology Festival, the first of which was held in 2018, is aimed at increasing the interest of society in technology and raising awareness about Türkiye’s transformation into a society that produces and develops technology by hosting many activities such as technology competitions, air shows, concerts, interviews. Within the scope of TEKNOFEST, technology competitions in various disciplines and categories are organized for hundreds of thousands of young people to realize their dreams.
A total of 4,333 teams and 20,000 young people applied to the technology competitions held in 14 different categories that were held at the festival at İstanbul Airport in 2018. These figures increased to
17,373 teams and 50,000 competitors from 81 provinces and 122 countries with the technology competitions held in 19 different categories at
TEKNOFEST 2019, held at İstanbul Atatürk Airport. The following year,
20,197 teams and 100,000 young people from 81 provinces and 84 countries applied to the technology competitions held in 21 different categories that were held within TEKNOFEST, which was hosted by
Gaziantep Middle East Fair Center in 2020. The fourth edition of the festival was held at Atatürk Airport, an
d 44,912 teams and 200,000 competitors from 81 provinces and 111 countries applied to the technology competitions held in 35 different categories.
TEKNOFEST Black Sea hosted 40 different technology competitions, which was held in the Black Sea Region in 2022, with Samsun in its centre. More than
154,000 teams and 600,000 competitors from 81 provinces and 107 countries applied to these competitions. In the same year, 10 different technology competitions were held at TEKNOFEST, which was held abroad for the first time at
Baku Crystal Hall in Baku, Azerbaijan by expanding beyond the borders of Türkiye, and applications from
1,010 teams and 5,636 competitors were received for these competitions. In
2023, TEKNOFEST took place in İstanbul, Ankara and İzmir, with technology competitions in
41 different categories on the focus areas of the future. More than
333,000 teams and more than 1,000,000 competitors from 81 provinces and 96 countries applied to these competitions.
TEKNOFEST 2023: İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir!
TEKNOFEST 2023, which was held in the 100th anniversary of our Republic, first took place in İstanbul on April 27 and May 1. With 2 million 547 thousand visitors, TEKNOFEST broke new records and offered its visitors an unforgettable adventure full of science, technology and space with its technology competitions, startup program, breathtaking air shows, award ceremonies, the Stage Is Yours, educational workshops, exhibitions, stage performances, the First Flight with Students, and other great events. The festival lasted 5 days at
İstanbul Atatürk Airport and ended on May 1 with memories full of excitement and pride.
The second festival of TEKNOFEST 2023 took place in Ankara from August 30 to September 3.
TEKNOFEST Ankara, which hosted 943,000 visitors at Etimesgut Airport, featured TEKNOFEST Startup Competition and the Deneyap Kart Roboleague Competition for the first time. During the 5-day festival, various events such as concerts by Mazhar Alanson and Tuluyhan Uğurlu, thematic exhibition zones, air shows, vertical wind tunnel, educational workshops, pedal flight activities, and the First Flight with Students were organized.
TEKNOFEST İzmir, the last stop of the festival organized in three major cities in the 100th anniversary of the Republic, took place at Çiğli Airport between September 27 and October 1. TEKNOFEST İzmir was visited by 1 million 100 thousand people in İzmir. During the festival, visitors from İzmir and neighbouring cities rushed to the festival area from the early hours of the morning. Organized at Çiğli Airport, the festival embraced all technology lovers with the excitement and enthusiasm of TEKNOFEST. The Preliminary Event of the Deneyap Ideathon and Deneyap Makeathon competitions, organized exclusively for Deneyap Technology Workshop students, TEKNOFEST Startup Competition and Pre-Take Off were completed in İzmir.
