There are only a couple of days left for Fighter Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) Competition, which is executed by BAYKAR and held within TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions. The competition will be held at Bursa Yunuseli Airport between April 15 and 19.

UAVs were designed by young people thoroughly from software to hardware in the competition, which was held only in the Fixed Wing category this year. The UAVs designed by young people will fly simultaneously during the competition and will fight each other. The competitions, consisting of two different tasks:"Fighter UAV and "Kamikaze UAV” will set the scene for exciting moments.
The evaluation process of the competition will be carried out in four different stages: Preliminary Design Report, Critical Design Report, Flight Proof Video and System Identification Videos and scoring during the competition. Competing teams that want to obtain the big prize will have to successfully complete Kamikaze mission in at least one of the rounds along with the Fighter UAV mission (autonomous locking onto any aircraft in the air).
A total of 754 teams applied for the competition, which encourages young people to do scientific and technical studies by inclining them towards Unmanned Aerial Vehicle technologies, this year. 22 teams, out of 754, from 12 different provinces accounting for 190 competitors qualified for the finals . Fighter UAV Competition, among the competitions offering the highest prize money within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2023 Technology Competitions, awards winner with 500,000 TRY, runner-up with 350,000 TRY, and third place with 250,000 TRY.
