Applications are continuing for the Technological Applications in Psychology Competition, which is organized for the second time this year under the management of the Can Sağlığı Foundation within the scope of TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival. Being aware that the basic building block of a healthy society is healthy individuals, the Life Health Foundation, which carries out studies on psychology, psychiatry, behavioral sciences, genetics, immunology, oncology and rare diseases from a scientific perspective, offers 8 different working areas to the contestants for their projects.
The Technological Applications in Psychology Competition aims to help acquire and develop psychological skills for preventive mental health, such as increasing psychological resilience/resilience and strengthening risk identification strategies. At the same time, it is aimed to develop application projects both for intervention, such as facilitating the access of people experiencing psychological difficulties to psychotherapy services and the application of psychological interventions, and for scientific research, such as developing new measurement and evaluation methods.
Technological Touch to Psychological Resilience
Among the study areas where technology is used in psychology and psychiatry and included in the scope of the competition: Applications for the acquisition and development of psychological skills (mobile application / website / digital game, etc.), smartphone application-supported psychotherapy intervention programs, internet-based psychotherapy intervention programs, artificial intelligence-supported psychotherapy applications and psychological risk detection, virtual reality-supported assessment/intervention programs, applications to improve and develop cognitive abilities (mobile application/website/digital game, etc.), technology-based measurement/evaluation tools and applications for psychophysiological measurements (wearable device technology etc.). T.R. citizen students studying in Türkiye and abroad participated in the competition. All undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students and graduates, whether citizens or foreign nationals, can participate. While the use of technology in the field of psychology and psychiatry is followed with interest worldwide, improving the use of technology in this field requires access, time, cost, effectiveness, etc. It also provides great advantages in many aspects. Evaluation of the competition, where the winners will receive a total prize of 190 thousand TL; It is done in three different stages: project preliminary evaluation report, project detail report and competition final scoring.
