All high school, undergraduate and graduate students of Turkish citizenship or foreign nationality studying in Turkey and abroad can apply to the competition.
Biotechnology Innovation in All Areas of Life
Offering important opportunities for the successful implementation of innovative ideas with the Biotechnology Innovation Competition, TEKNOFEST aims to develop original ideas in the field of biotechnology, which requires extensive resources, especially highly qualified human resources.
This year, the sample study topics of the students in the competition include DIAGNOSIS, TRAPETICS, CLIMATE CRISIS, AGRICULTURE, ENVIRONMENT, BIODEMEDIATION, FOOD AND NUTRITION and SPACE. The project topic must include at least one of the 8 main fields of study mentioned in the scope of TEKNOFEST Biotechnology Innovation Competition for High School, University and Above Idea and Project categories. In the Idea category teams are expected to conduct original studies in the field of biotechnology and present them on theory, in the project category they are expected to turn their work into a prototype product. A total of 180 thousand TRY is awarded to the winners at the high school level, 240 thousand TRY to the winners in the idea category, and 370 thousand TRY in total to the successful students in the project category.
