Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition

About the Competition

Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition aims to reduce the costs of missions carried out in underwater areas for civilian and military purposes with the use of unmanned vehicles, to encourage the production and development of remote-controlled or autonomous underwater vehicles, and to develop original vehicles in this field throughout the country.
    
All middle school, high school, university students studying in Türkiye and abroad can participate in the competition.         



The evaluation stages of the competition are as follows:
  • Technical Qualification Form
  • Critical Design Report 
  • Sealing, Mobility and Mission Demonstration Video
Tasks for Basic Category - Advanced Category

1- Torpedo Launch
Competing teams will have the opportunity to demonstrate the precise positioning and targeting abilities of water vehicles with this mission. 

2- Underwater Cable Tracking and Anomaly Detection
Underwater cables can be used to transfer important elements such as electrical energy and communication lines. For this reason, it is critical to keep these lines under regular surveillance.

3-Color Detection and Door Access
Using color detection systems integrated on the unmanned underwater vehicles they design, the competing teams will accurately detect the color of an underwater door and demonstrate their ability to pass through the door when it meets the specified color criteria.        

The templates of the reports to be prepared by the competitors will be announced on the TEKNOFEST website soon.
