Helicopter Design Competition

About the Competition

TEKNOFEST 2025 Helicopter Design Competition, designs are expected for rotary wing aircraft that can perform tasks such as maritime traffic control, surveillance in disaster areas and internet provider, stay in the air for at least 10 hours at 5000 ft altitude and 30 °C conditions, carry mission equipment, land and take off under specified runway conditions and offer solutions to various operational needs.

University (undergraduate and post-graduate) students and university graduates can participate in the competition individually. Team applications to the competition are also accepted if at least one of the members is a university (undergraduate and graduate) student or university graduate. Teams can have a maximum of 20 members. (this number does not include the advisor).

The evaluation stages of the competition are as follows:
  • Project Preliminary Evaluation Report (PER)
  • Project Detailed Assessment Report (DAR)
  • Final Evaluation Presentations
