Hyperloop Development Competition

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

Hyperloop Development Competition is organized within the scope of TEKNOFEST Technology competitions.

The Hyperloop Development Competition, is a technology-oriented competition designed to facilitate the development of various magnetic levitation and propulsion systems. Through this initiative, it is aimed to advance fifth-generation innovative transportation technologies at the university level and to cultivate a qualified workforce in this field. Additionally, the competition seeks to enhance the feasibility and practical application of next-generation transportation technologies on a global scale.

Associate, undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and doctoral students studying in Turkey and abroad can participate in the competition as a team.

The competition is conducted in two main categories:
1. Hyperloop Pod Performance Competition: Teams are evaluated based on the performance of their developed Hyperloop pods, and the competition stages are as follows:
  • Progress Report
  • Levitation and Propulsion Test Videos
  • Technical Design Report
  • Final Evaluation Stage
2. Innovation Category: This category expects participants to propose innovative solutions for the subcomponents of Hyperloop technology. Participants are encouraged to develop creative projects in the following areas:
  • Electromagnetic Levitation System Development
  • Propulsion System Development
  • Infrastructure Development
  • Communication System Development
  • Mechanical System Development
  • Socioeconomic Impact
Special awards are also given within the scope of the competition. The team that successfully demonstrates levitation using steel systems will receive the "Steel Levitation Award", while the team that meets the special criteria set by the technical board will be awarded the "Board Special Award".

Finalist teams are provided with transportation/accommodation support for TEKNOFEST competitions.

Prizes await the teams that compete in TEKNOFEST and qualify for the ranking.

EDUCATION

TRAINING CAMP PROGRAM
Training programs will be organized for the finalist teams with the participation of the executive institution and advisory board members.

Q&A MEETÇINGS
Teams with the participation of the executive and advisory board members Meetings where projects, evaluation criteria and processes can direct questions to the advisory board will be planned.
 

CAREER

INTERNSHIP
Internship opportunities in Turkey's technology institutions will be provided.

GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS
Turkey under the Technology Team, conducted by the Foundation for the National Team Program Support Technology Teams are provided with incentives through orientation and support programs for international competitions.
