National Technology Summit Held in Mersin: “National Technology Initiative with Young Minds” | TEKNOFEST

Implemented in line with Türkiye’s goals of developing domestic and national technologies, the summit provided an important platform to encourage young people to engage in technology production, promote awareness of the National Technology Initiative, and strengthen collaboration among public institutions, the private sector, and academia. Bringing together leading organizations and representatives of the technology ecosystem, the program continued with strategic panels following the opening speeches.

The summit hosted distinguished participants, including Atilla Toros, Erol Yaşar, Serkan Şahin, Yusuf Kıraç, and Yavuz Emir Beyribey, along with senior representatives of public institutions, academics, industry stakeholders, and students.
 

Türkiye’s Technology Vision Discussed Across Four Key Panels

Within the scope of the summit, Türkiye’s technology vision was comprehensively addressed through four main panels, each focusing on different disciplines.
 

Aviation and Space Technologies Panel

Moderated by Ali Batuhan Yıldız, the panel discussed Türkiye’s domestic and national projects in aviation and space, as well as the national space program and strategic goals. Speakers included representatives from Turkish Aerospace Industries and the Turkish Space Agency.
 

Artificial Intelligence Panel

Moderated by Ebru Karayel Çınar, this panel explored the ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence, policy-making processes, technical applications, and its role in decision-making mechanisms. Speakers included representatives from TÜBİTAK and leading experts in the field.
 

Defense Industry Panel

Moderated by Arda Halıcı, the panel addressed future systems in the defense industry, artificial intelligence integration, and technological advancements. Representatives from ROKETSAN, ASELSAN, and the Presidency of Defense Industries shared their insights.
 

Nuclear Energy and the Future Panel

Moderated by Osman Altunkal, the panel focused on nuclear energy technologies, safety policies, and future strategies. Speakers included representatives from the Nuclear Regulatory Authority and academia.
