TEKNOFEST — the world's largest aerospace and technology festival — carries the National Technology Initiative vision from land to sea, reuniting defense industry and technology enthusiasts around a maritime focus this year under the "Blue Homeland" theme. Held for the first time in Istanbul last year, TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland generated tremendous excitement with its rich programme spanning domestically developed marine vessels and underwater technologies, its competitions, and its high turnout — leaving a lasting impression as a powerful reflection of the national technology drive rising across Turkey's seas.
This year, TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland will be held on 20–23 August under the principal coordination of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Defense, and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), hosted by the Gölcük Shipyard Command. The event aims to bring Türkiye's maritime strength and advanced technological capabilities together with younger generations, building a strong vision for the future around domestic and national technologies.
At this special event — reaching from the depths of the seas toward the horizon of the future — young minds will turn their dreams into technology through the Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition, the Underwater Rocket Competition, and the Unmanned Surface Vessel Competition. Aspiring young engineers and entrepreneurs will, through the projects they develop, help shape Türkiye's maritime future. Throughout the event, TEKNOFEST's partner institutions will also take their place in the exhibition area, both showcasing their work and engaging with visitors.
Events organised specially for TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland will include: exhibitions where visitors can tour the Navy's flagship vessels; virtual reality gaming zones experienced through VR headsets; competitions designed to keep maritime culture alive; dedicated areas where visitors can take souvenir photographs; demonstrations performed by personnel of the Underwater Offence (SAT) and Underwater Defense (SAS) Commands; experiential zones reflecting maritime history; and a wide range of conferences and exhibitions.
