Developing Technology for a World Without Barriers
Young people, driven by a sense of social responsibility, aim to contribute to a better quality of life for individuals, regardless of their physical abilities. Through the competition, they are developing innovative technologies to create a more accessible world for everyone. As part of the TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions, this event follows inclusive approaches that enable individuals with special needs to reach their full potential in society, fostering advancements in assistive technologies for barrier-free living.
Innovative technological advancements and practical projects aimed at eliminating problems affecting individuals with special needs in designated areas focus on three key principles: awareness, usefulness, and convenience. The competition is organized into three main categories: Accessibility and Independent Living, Communication and Social Participation, and Health, Safety, and Rehabilitation. Open to all middle school, high school (including Open Education), and university students (undergraduate, associate degree, master's, doctoral, and Open Education programs), as well as graduates from both Türkiye and abroad, the competition welcomes participants from diverse academic backgrounds.
Competitors integrating their ideas for barrier-free living with technology prioritize accessibility in every field, bringing their projects to life using original, local, and national resources. With technology-driven approaches that reduce barriers and implement fully accessible concepts for everyone, the competition continues to foster innovation.
