The Jet Engine Design Competition, created to inspire and prepare the aviation engineers of the future, offers participants a chance to bring their creativity and technical skills to life through real-world projects. As part of the TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions, it empowers young engineers passionate about aviation to take a confident step into the industry and launch their careers on a strong foundation.
Join the Future of Engine Design with Two Exciting New Categories
This year, the competition focuses on two innovative categories:
- Turbojet Engine Combustion Chamber Design: Participants are expected to design a combustion chamber with high-altitude ignition capability for a turbojet engine producing 60 lbf thrust.
- Turbojet Engine Control Unit Design: Participants will work on designing an Engine Control System (ECS) for a turbojet engine.
Competing teams are required to design a combustion chamber module that meets the specified criteria, prepare detailed design reports, and demonstrate the performance of their designed combustion chamber in a test setup during the final stage.
The competition is open to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in engineering programs at universities in Türkiye and abroad, as well as recent engineering graduates who are not yet practicing professionally. Applications are open until February 20, and projects will be evaluated in four main stages: Conceptual Design Report, Detailed Design Report, Final Presentations, and Rig Test Results.
Winners in each category will share a total prize pool of 900,000 TL, with 175,000 TL for first place, 150,000 TL for second place, and 125,000 TL for third place.
