This competition, the first Vertical Landing Rocket Competition in the world powered by a Cold Gas Propulsion System, is organized by TÜBİTAK. It aims to help students gain knowledge about Rocket-Powered Landing Systems, which are included in Türkiye’s technological roadmap for the next 10 years, and to develop their ability to design as a team with members from different disciplines.
In the competition, teams are expected to adapt their designed rockets to the suspension system, which will be provided by the competition committee. After the rocket is released, it must land in a controlled manner using the cold gas propulsion system. The competition is open to associate, undergraduate, and graduate students, as well as graduates, both from Türkiye and abroad.
The winners of the Vertical Landing Rocket Competition will be awarded cash prizes. The team that secures first place will receive 250,000 TRY, while the second-place team will be awarded 200,000 TRY, and the third-place team will be granted 150,000 TRY.
