Zero Waste & Circular Economy Competition | TEKNOFEST

The Zero Waste & Circular Economy Competition is organized within the scope of the TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions.

The Zero Waste & Circular Economy Competition aims to foster the development of innovative technological solutions that enhance resource efficiency, transform waste into value, and support sustainable production and consumption models. Within the scope of the competition, participants are expected to develop smart recycling systems, industrial waste management and reuse applications, as well as digital solutions for post-consumption waste tracking and behavioral transformation.

Associate degree, undergraduate, and graduate students studying in Türkiye and abroad are eligible to participate in the competition. Teams must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 members.

The evaluation stages of the competition are as follows:

• Eligibility and Preliminary Evaluation Process
• Online Training and Mentorship Process
• Project Presentation (Semi-Final)
• Competition Final

The competition consists of three themes:

• Waste to Value: Smart Recycling Systems
• Industrial Waste Management and Reuse
• Post-Consumption Waste Tracking and Behavioral Transformation
