In 2021, TÜBA established the "TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award" in order to reward doctoral dissertations produced in Turkey in the fields considered among the priority areas of TEKNOFEST, the world's largest space, aviation and technology event, of which TÜBA has been a stakeholder since 2019. These traditional awards are given in three categories; Science and Engineering Sciences, Health and Life Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities to the thesis owners who have been awarded first, second and third place as a result of scientific referee evaluations carried out in the fields of Science and Engineering Sciences, Health and Life Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities.
TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award; Authors of doctoral dissertations on Technology and Design, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Autonomous Systems, Robotics and Mechatronic Systems, Modeling and Simulation Technologies, Energy, Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technologies, Technologies for Air, Space and Unmanned Underwater Systems, Information and Communication Technologies, Cyber Security and Cryptology, Education, Health, Agriculture and Ecology Technologies and Biotechnology, International Relations, Development Policies, Educational Approaches, Security Policies of the National Technology Move.
Applications for the 2024 TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award can be made by TÜBA Members, as well as institutional applications in the form of recommendation by YÖK, TÜBİTAK, TÜSEB and University Rectorates. Applications for the award, which will be submitted digitally to
www.t3kys.com, must be from doctoral dissertations produced in Turkey on the original thematic topics defined above, whose defense was completed in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Candidates who applied for the award in previous years will be able to apply again, provided that they indicate and document additional new publications, patents, products, etc. related to their thesis in their scientific files, which are important in the evaluation criteria in the referee evaluation process, and provided that they have completed their thesis in the years announced in the application requirement.
Within the scope of the Award Program, as a result of the scientific evaluation processes of doctoral theses on the subjects listed among the priority areas of TEKNOFEST, with the decision of TÜBA Council for the year 2024; 75,000 Turkish Liras will be awarded to the first thesis author, 60,000 to the second and 50,000 to the third.
Candidates can apply with the application form, Turkish curriculum vitae in Yöksis format, a full copy of the thesis, Yöksis and Yöktez registration information, the purpose and method of the thesis, scientific ethics permission (for thesis studies deemed necessary), a list of publications and/or patents or commercial products produced from the thesis, a certificate, if any, national and international scientific studies, and the institute where the thesis was carried out (certification that the thesis was studied and carried out in institutions in Turkey). Files that do not contain this information will not be evaluated.
