About the Competition

Swarm UAV Competition is organised within the scope of TEKNOFEST Technology competitions. Swarm Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Swarm UAV), one of the most critical technologies of the near future, has an increasing importance day by day. Swarm UAVs are a technology that is increasingly needed in both civilian and military applications.

The Swarm UAV Competition basically aims to develop software and algorithms for UAVs that can fulfil specified missions as a swarm. The success of these algorithms will be demonstrated by using Swarm UAVs in real world conditions. The overall objectives of this competition are to understand how software algorithms for swarming UAVs work in practice, to explore the potential of the technology in civil and military applications, and to encourage young talents in this field. As Swarm UAVs have the potential to radically change both our daily lives and defence strategies, this competition aims to contribute to the development of this technology.

Undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and doctoral students or graduates of universities can participate in the competition individually or as a team. Teams should consist of at least 3 and at most 15 people. Graduate level companies or initiatives can apply to our competition as a team.
