Robotics Applications in Industry Competition | TEKNOFEST

About the Competition

Robotics Applications in Industry Competition is organised within the scope of TEKNOFEST Technology competitions. The aim of the competition is to encourage participants to develop autonomous smart robot systems that support digital transformation in the manufacturing industry. Teams are expected to design a forklift-type mobile robot capable of autonomously transporting specific loads from one point to another within factory logistics processes.

The mission begins with the forklift-style autonomous mobile robot mapping the competition area. The system must perceive its environment through its sensors to create a digital map and define mission routes based on that map. Following the mapping and route-planning phase, the robot must autonomously navigate to load and unload points according to task instructions received from the factory automation system.

During the task, the robot is expected to perform line tracking using image processing techniques, verify its position by reading QR codes, and safely stop in response to obstacles along the route. Upon completing the task, the robot must deliver the load to the correct location, return to the starting or waiting position, and successfully complete the entire process within the specified timeframe.

High school, university students and graduates can participate in the competition as a team. Competitors will be able to participate in teams of at least 3 and at most 15 people.
