About the Competition

The Rocket Competition aims to increase students' interest in space technologies and develop their skills, while raising awareness in the society about aerospace, space, and technology fields. It seeks to support young people in these fields, encourage them to conduct research on future technologies, and familiarize them with professional design processes.

There are 2 groups, group A and group B, and 9 sub-categories in the competition. These are;

A1 High School Category (minimum 4,000 feet)
A2 Medium Altitude Category (minimum 8,000 feet)
A3 High Altitude Category (minimum 15,000 feet)
A4 International Category (minimum 8,000 feet)
A5 Challenging Task Category (minimum 15,000 feet)
A6 SRAD Hybrid Propellant Motor & Rocket Category (minimum 8,000 feet)

B1 SRAD Rocket Control Section Development Category
B2 SRAD Hybrid Propellant Rocket Motor Development Category
B3 SRAD Liquid Propellant Rocket Motor Development Category

*SRAD: Student Research and Development

In order for teams in the A1 (High School Category) category to apply to the competition, all team members must be high school students. Teams that will compete in all competition categories except the A1 (High School Category) category may consist of students or graduates.

Turkish teams cannot apply for the A4 category (International Category). Any member of a foreign team applying for the A4 category cannot be a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye.

GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS
Turkey under the Technology Team, conducted by the Foundation for the National Team Program Support Technology Teams are provided with incentives through orientation and support programs for international competitions.
