About the Competition


The 5G Positioning Competition aims to develop models that will provide the most accurate positioning using the existing 5G test network.Competitor teams will try to find the target/reward points determined by using artificial intelligence, machine learning or other techniques on a data set containing radio network performance metrics and GPS (coordinate) data. The team that detects these points in the most accurate and fastest way will win the competition.

Undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and open education students studying in Turkey and abroad can participate in teams. Teams must consist of at least 2 and at most 5 people (the advisor is not included in this number).

The evaluation stages of the competition are as follows;
  • Preliminary Design Report
  • Final Design Report 
  • Final Evaluation Phase
Templates for the reports that competitors should prepare will be announced on the TEKNOFEST website at a later date.
