About the Competition

The Educational Technologies competition covers the solutions that will make learning easier and permanent with technology integration in education or training.
The educational technologies could include prototypes, educational software, educational games, educational simulations and innovative technologies.
Subject of the Competition
Contestants are expected to produce solutions which students can use in online or offline learning platforms paying the utmost importance to efficiency in learning. These solutions can either be computer aided or applicable for mobile use.
- Applications developed for supporting and reinforcing learning and information learned in schools.
- Educational software which deals with issues which are difficult to grasp with easy and effective scenario-based methods.
- Educational games which aim for both efficiency in learning and fun. These games are developed in a way allowing gamers reach a goal within specific rules. 
- Educational simulations which enable experiments which can be practiced in physical environments (for instance chemistry experiments) and activities (for instance robotic coding applications) to be practiced in the digital environment.
- Virtual environment applications which enable learning in informal learning environments such as museums, exhibitions and science centers at different locations without space and time constraints.
- Digital applications such as interactive content that students can practice interactively within a specified educational program.

Q: Will people who are not registered on the accommodation and transportation form in KYK be able to stay with payment?
A: People who are not registered in the form will not be able to stay in KYK even if they pay a fee.

Q: Can we build the mansion with our own means?
A: No, the password is included in the encrypted passwords in the password.

Q: When I apply to the technology competition, do I also apply for the support request, can you give information about the supports?

A: No. Applying to the contest and requesting support in relation to the contest applied for are different things. The support requests of the teams will be received on the page that will be opened during report upload. The support applications will be evaluated by the Advisory and Evaluation Board of the relevant competition and the teams deemed appropriate will be supported. Applying for support does not necessarily mean that support will be received. After the financial support applications, the IBAN NO will be requested from the teams that are eligible for support and the support amount will be deposited into the accounts. It is not possible to provide an equal amount of support to the teams that are entitled to financial support. After evaluating the support amounts and the materials to be purchased, an upper limit will be determined. The amount of financial support to be given will be determined by evaluating the request lists and reports of the teams.

Q: Can you give a general information about the reports?
C: Evaluation; The Project Pre-Evaluation Report will be made in three different stages as Project Detail Report and competition scoring. Teams that do not submit the Project Pre-Evaluation Report and Project Detail Report files will not be eligible to participate in the competition.

Q: Can we determine our transportation route ourselves?
A: After the relevant form expires, the contestants will be called and informed about the ticket information and type, transportation will be via the route we have determined.

Q: If we want to come to the contest with our own vehicle, is it possible to provide financial support?
A: Transport support is provided as a ticket only. In addition fuel etc. supports will not be provided.

Q: Should we necessarily use a software or coding language in the project?
A: Yes, you must.

Q: Can we learn how the introductory file that needs to be prepared during the application should be prepared?
A: In the team introduction file, you should mention the summary of the project, its purpose, the year of establishment, the competitions you participated in, if any, the awards you received, the team members and their duties.
It must be in PDF format. One page is enough.

Q: When and how do we need to deliver the drafts to the competition?
A: With the Pre-Evaluation Report, only a consultancy document will be requested from you. You can find our sample documents here.

Q: If a team consists of high school and university individuals, what level should they apply?
A: Must apply for the university category.

Q: Is it obligatory for a consultant teacher in a project to attend the exhibition if the project is passed?
A: Individuals under the age of 18 are required to have a consultant with them.

Q: Are travel expenses covered by us?
A: Transportation and accommodation support is provided to a certain number of members from the teams that qualify for finalists.

Q: In the "note on report drafts" section of the educational technologies competition report template - The 4 items above will be explained on a maximum of 1 (one) page. There is an expression in the form. How many pages should the report be?
A: The 4 items specified should be explained in one page. Additionally, you can add it to your report visually. These images can be added as not exceeding one page.

Q: There are pages full of codes in the projects we will do. Adding these, we go beyond the 8 page limit given to us. What should I do about it?
A: You can exceed the page limit for codes only.

Q: In the project detail report, the number of images is limited to 2, but I have to go mainly visually in order to explain the details of the project I made. Will it be a problem if I add more than two images, not exceeding the number of pages? In addition, visuals are requested to be added to 2 pages as "additional". Can we use these images in the report?
A: Images can be added to other pages, provided that they do not exceed the number of pages limited for the entire report.

Q: We are participating in the contest at graduate level and we have no advisors. On the detail report upload screen, it is stated that this part must be filled in the advisor / student section. What should I do to overcome this obstacle?
A: Does not pose a problem for the graduate category.

Opportunities for Competitors

    Internship opportunities in Turkey's technology institutions will be provided.
    Turkey under the Technology Team, conducted by the Foundation for the National Team Program Support Technology Teams are provided with incentives through orientation and support programs for international competitions.

    Young students who are trained to develop technology are given the opportunity to explain projects and inspire them.

    Training programs will be organized for the finalist teams with the participation of the executive institution and advisory board members.
    Teams with the participation of the executive and advisory board members Meetings where projects, evaluation criteria and processes can direct questions to the advisory board will be planned.

    In order to support the projects of thousands of young people, a total of over 5 million TL material support is provided to the teams that pass the pre-selection stage.
    Transportation / Accomodation support is provided to the finalist teams for their competitions at TEKNOFEST 2021 Atatürk Airport.
    TEKNOFEST 2021 will be awarded over 5 Million TL awards to the teams that qualified for İstanbul.

    By organizing technical tours, it is provided to on-site inspection of working on leading technological firms of Turkey.
    TEKNOFEST, which hosts hundreds of companies on technical trips, provides the opportunity to get to know experts in every field.
    On technical trips, the opportunity to meet expert engineers about business and professional life is provided.
    On technical trips, people who have worked in technology companies have the opportunity to listen to their experiences and increase motivation.
