Once again, one of the most popular competitions, the Tourism Technologies Competition, will feature projects that will make a difference in the tourism industry and serve as a launching pad for new ideas. Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye the Tourism Technologies Competition expects participants to showcase rich cultural and tourism assets and activities through smart, innovative information technologies.
High-value projects for the tourism sector will emerge from TEKNOFEST.
Within the scope of the Tourism Technologies Competition, participants are expected to prepare products that enable learning, promotion, or increased awareness of the values possessed through technology integration in the fields of tourism and culture, as well as the development of methods and techniques used in these areas. While software-focused projects such as mobile applications, web applications, prototypes, educational games, and educational simulations are accepted for the competition, eight different themes are presented.

• Applications to Measure/Forecast the Number of Tourists Visiting Our Country
• Applications of Any Kind that Can be Developed under Sustainable Tourism
• Software/Applications Aimed at Measuring Tourists' Satisfaction Visiting Our Country
• GoTürkiye Website Enhancements
Applications for the competition, in which students studying in Türkiye and abroad, including high school, undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students, can participate, continue until February 20, 2024. In the Tourism Technologies Competition, where high school and university students are evaluated in two separate categories, the first prize at the high school level consists of a cash prize of 50,000 TL, the second prize is 40,000 TL, and the third prize is 30,000 TL. In teams at the university level and above, the winners can expect cash prizes of 60,000 TL for first place, 50,000 TL for second place, and 40,000 TL for third place.
