The Future of the Underwater World is Determined at TEKNOFEST 2024...

In today's world, underwater research has gained significance, especially for civilian and military applications, aiming at the preservation and exploration of natural resources and ensuring national security. The Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition, organized based on these needs, takes the lead in the development of unique devices for the production of autonomous underwater vehicles in our country. Underwater robots that facilitate tasks such as pressure management, visibility, and communication while performing missions underwater play a significant role in making the underwater environment controllable. Underwater vehicles used in various underwater activities such as search and rescue, sea cleaning, and underwater testing and analysis have already secured a noteworthy place in future robotic technologies.

The competition held within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2024 consists of two categories: Basic Category and Advanced Category. The assigned tasks for the participants include Torpedo Launch, Underwater Cable Tracking and Anomaly Detection, and Color Detection & Door Passage.

In the competition where scoring and evaluation are carried out differently in each category, the first-place prize for the Basic Category is 150,000 TL, the second-place prize is 120,000 TL, and the third-place prize is 100,000 TL. In the Advanced Category, the first-place prize is 200,000 TL, the second-place prize is 150,000 TL, and the third-place prize is 120,000 TL.

Success Stories Emerging from TEKNOFEST Increase Every Day...

Anadolu Robotik, which achieved a success story with TEKNOFEST, participated in the Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition in 2019. With their unmanned underwater vehicles Argon, they conduct autonomous or manual operations in various sectors such as search and rescue, fish farm cleaning and controls, underwater pipe and cable laying, and controls, underwater construction, and maintenance/repair. Anadolu Robotik, also a graduate of the TEKNOFEST Venture Program, earns revenue in these sectors through leasing their developed vehicles.

DEGZ participated in the Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition at TEKNOFEST in 2018, 2019, and 2020, achieving various rankings. As TEKNOFEST Venture Program graduates, DEGZ develops customizable, industrial unmanned underwater vehicles with their products Deringezen X and Pro. They generate income by selling mechanical and electronic components. DEGZ also provides underwater vehicle development training in DENEYAP Technology Workshops with the support of the T3 Foundation.

Lenta Marine participated in the TEKNOFEST 2019 Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition, focusing on material science, mechanical design, and electronic system design in the underwater and maritime sector. With their developed PYROT unmanned underwater vehicle, Lenta Marine offers quality and efficient products to the maritime sector. As graduates of the TEKNOFEST Startup Program, they engage in operational processes such as leasing and selling underwater parts. They also develop underwater vehicles for underwater sports.

Remora participated in the TEKNOFEST 2019 Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition. They operate in the field of underwater cleaning with their developed underwater vehicle Neta. Remora, also a graduate of the TEKNOFEST Startup Program, earns revenue by cleaning and leasing layers under the boats.
