While applications for the world's largest technology competitions organized within the scope of the Aerospace and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST, continue, each year, more competition categories are introduced compared to the previous year. The Air Defense Systems Competition, newly added to the technology competitions of TEKNOFEST, which are the largest prize-winning technology competitions in Turkish history, will accept applications for the first time this year. Organized under the leadership of ASELSAN, the Air Defense Systems Competition aims to develop and produce air defense systems that will successfully carry out tasks related to scenarios given to teams to ensure national security in military applications, with sufficient hardware and capabilities. The competition, which aims to spread to a wide base across the country for the development of original, domestic, and talented systems, has only one category.
Students of higher education (associate, undergraduate, and graduate) studying in Türkiye and abroad can participate in teams of at least 3 and at most 15 people in the competition, which has a significant place for the vision of National Technology Initiative.
Teams that achieve top rankings in the Air Defense Systems Competition will receive awards of 150,000 TL for first place, 120,000 TL for second place, and 100,000 TL for third place. TEKNOFEST, organized with the main coordination of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, will continue to bring the excitement of TEKNOFEST to every corner of Türkiye with the support of leading technology companies, public institutions, media organizations, and universities.
